New version!
Noseeum DLG-C

This is
the DLG (Discus Hand Launch) version of the
Noseeum. It can be side arm launched to incredible heights.
This is what I usually have with me for unexpected flight sessions.
This one weighs 5.1oz. it could be lighter, but I made it
with a 2 piece wing as an experiment for a travel version.
It isn't worth the hassle, it's small enough as is!
Here is a view of the
radio installation.
Any sub micro servo will work. The battery is a 50 mah. Sanyo pack.
The wingspan is 32". The kit comes with a carbon spar
and tail boom.
The rudder and elevons are 2mm. coroplast for durability.
I have sloped mine in 15 to 20
MPH. winds by adding an ounce of lead
to the bottom of
the wing between the servos.

This is the top
view of the Noseeum.
I painted the foam with spray paint and then covered it with clear packing tape.
This one weighs 5.1oz. with a wing loading of 2.80oz. It can be built as light as
3.1oz. if you only reinforce the leading edge and spar are with tape.
Note the servos are installed from the bottom with an access hole
on top for the
pushrods.
The pushrods are in small grooves
that are covered with a strip of tape
so the
upper wing surface is very clean.

This was the first version of the
"Noseeum".
It weighed 4.7oz. with radio and covering. It is all EPP. (of course)
I made the final version without covering and with a 50mah.
Battery. The total weight ended up at 3.2oz.

I had a helper. His name is "Kit"
The price for the Noseeum
DLG-C is currently $50.00
